Finding a good book is like stumbling upon a treasure and the Dimensional Adventures with Arabella is that treasure for me and my readers. This is my motivation for putting together my own website – Karen Dowers – where I can talk about and put the latest information about my books and connect with my readers.

I decided to put up a website in 2018 that serves as a community for those who have fallen for the charms of the mischievous little Butterfly Fairy Arabella, whom I have created out of my heart and imagination. I love writing about her shenanigans and her magic spells, her adventures with the kids from Earth, and her journeys as she takes the earthlings (the Petros children) to where she dwells in the 5th dimension (The Land of Rom) and to other dimensions for exploration and to meet quirky, new, and interesting creatures. ​

As a writer, the biggest payoff for this job is knowing that I make people smile. It feels good that aside from being able to connect with my younger readers, I receive reports from many adults who also love my stories about dimensional travels and adventures with Arabella and love to read the adventures to their children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, etc! You can look forward to many more characters aside from Arabella who will also charm you into reading more Karen Dowers books.

Karen lives near Durango, Colorado. She is married for 28 years to her handsome husband, Doug. Her children are of the furry kind. She has three cats who make it their mission to bother her when she paints or writes. Retired now, she spends most her spare time doing the things she loves best: writing stories that have been in her head for years and creating illustrations; painting; hiking; cooking gourmet meals; having fun with her husband who is also retired; and spending quality time with nieces, nephews; and other relatives and friends.
